Fifty firefighters tackle blaze at a car repair shop in Ardwick

Firefighters tackled a large blaze at a car repair shop in Ardwick.

Images taken from the scene show a large cloud of smoke engulfing the building on Midland Street earlier this morning.

Around 50 firefighters were called to the building, thought to be occupied by Titan Automotive, at 4.27am on Monday.

The crews used hose reels to bring the fire under control and managed to prevent it from spreading further.
