I'm going to need you all to stop what you're doing, put the coffee down, give praise to whatever god you pray to, and bathe in the majesty that is the new Fiat Tris three-wheeler, an all-electric last-mile vehicle that looks like a faithful recreation of Italy's most famous delivery vehicle.
I mean, how adorable is this thing?!
Can you picture yourself along the Amalfi Coast, sipping your espresso, gazing out across the Mediterranean, eating a delicious croissant with some lovely marmalade inside it, and the Fiat Tris delivering today's catch of the day to the local eatery ahead of you? Can you picture the Tris zig-zagging its way through Rome's bustling and tight city streets, but instead of the noisy old two-stroke powering the trike, it's this silent, adorable thing, humming along as it brings everything from delicious baked goods to a full-size Vespa to the local mechanic?
I want this life. I want this reality. I want this adorable Fiat Tris and for me to have a little hat as I live out my best life along the Sicilian coast. Fiat, for the love of all that is holy, and in the name of the new Pope, please let me live this life. Let me drive the Tris.

Despite the good looks, the Fiat Tris is the brand's first-ever three-wheeler. No, you've not seen it before, but the Tris resembles the Piaggio Ape, which has stood as one of the most iconic designs since it was first introduced right after World War II. Clearly, there was some inspiration taken from the Ape, though I'll let Piaggio's lawyers handle how much...
According to Fiat, the Tris is designed as a last-mile delivery vehicle for major urban areas, though it'll be first rolled out in Africa and the Middle East. Odd that it's not first in Italy given its looks, but all right. And it'll be available for purchase in three different flavors: a Flat Bed, a Pick-Up, and Chassis-Cabin, which Fiat states "ensures maximum flexibility to cater to the diverse needs of professionals."
Powering the diminutive little trike is a 6.9 kWh lithium battery pack, which Fiat says is good for 90 kilometers of range (55 miles). A 48-volt electric motor is coupled to the battery, which delivers a whopping 12 horsepower and 33 pound-feet of torque, while hitting an eye-watering top speed 28 mph. But it only weighs 2,200 pounds and has a payload capacity of over 1,000 pounds, which is like three regular motorcycles in RideApart math.
Or exactly one Harley-Davidson.
Fiat states, "Charging is designed to be hassle-free and convenient. Thanks to its integrated smart charging system, TRIS can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 3.5 hours, reaching the complete recharge in 4 hours and 40 minutes, using a standard domestic plug. This allows professionals to easily charge their vehicle overnight or between shifts, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency for daily operations."
Pricing on the Fiat Tris hasn't yet been released, but the company states that its existence is designed to help those emerging markets and their urban expansion which is continually growing year after year. Hopefully, however, it makes its way to Italy, but I'd be more than happy to also test drive the Tris in Morocco if given the chance...
