Feyenoord hammered over Rangers clash flashpoints as UEFA get tough on Dutch fans

UEFA have slapped Feyenoord with a £20,000 fine for fan flashpoints during their Europa League clash with Rangers.

The Dutch club drew 2-2 with the Ibrox side in November in Rotterdam, with Steven Gerrard 's team eventually qualifying for the last 32.

But Feyenoord have just been hit with three separate fines by UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary body - with two of them because of incidents in the De Kuip clash against Rangers.

Feyenoord were handed a fine of £16,500 for their fans blocking staircases during the game and a further fine of £3,500 for setting off fireworks as the match was ongoing.

They were also slapped with an additional fine of £7,000 for vandalism in Porto's stadium for the final game in the section - a match where their fans were originally banned from attending before it was later lifted.

In addition, Feyenoord were ordered to compensate the Portuguese club for the vandalism.
