Female MMA fighter left unconscious on canvas after brutal kick three seconds into fight

Amateur MMA fighter Brenda Oliva was left unconscious on the canvas after being knocked out by a sickening kick just three seconds into her fight.

Oliva was competing in an amateur cage meeting in her native Argentina against rival Julieta Martinez. They were competing as part of the Samurai Fight House 4 card, which offered a range of professional and amateur outings.

The official signalled the fighters could commence with the bout, prompting both female stars to rush towards each other. They quickly took to the centre of the ring with a brief grapple before Martinez landed a brutal kick to the head of her rival.

After the shuddering blow landed, it caused Oliva to collapse back-first onto the canvas just three seconds into the opening round. She was left out cold on the floor with no movement before medical specialists arrived to treat her. The referee initially rushed over to check on the star while her rival showed no concern while waving her hands in joy and excitement.

Martinez continued to celebrate her quickfire victory by clambering on the fence of the cage to celebrate with her team and the small crowd cheering her on inside the venue. The amateur victor continued to parade around the octagon before circling around her opponent, who continued to lie on the floor with a doctor present.

What did you make of Julieta Martinez's highlight reel knockout? Let us know in the c omments section below

Fans were stunned by the brutal nature of the knockout, with one suggesting Martinez should be handed a professional debut, commenting: “Ummm maybe time to get her a pro fight.” Another was more concerned with her opponent's wellbeing, saying: "Wow, that is a terrifying KO to be honest. Hope she's alright."

A fan also hailed Martinez's kicking technique, writing: "Nice job hiding the kick with that two! Beautiful execution." Another agreed: "Head kick KO three seconds into fight, that’s got to be the fastest head kick KO I’ve ever seen."

Martinez now boasts a record of 3-1-0 in her amateur MMA career and her emphatic victory was the ideal way to bounce back from a previous submission defeat by Tifani Gerez at the previous event. She produced the exact same explosive knockout on her MMA debut knocking out rival Nayla Arla in just 20 seconds.
