FC Barcelona Faces Backlash Over High Ticket Prices For PSG Match

FC Barcelona (01)

FC Barcelona is currently facing criticism over the pricing of tickets for the upcoming Champions League quarterfinal second leg match against Paris Saint-Germain on April 16. Following their recent victory over Napoli, which secured their spot in the quarterfinals, fans were hopeful about the team's performance in the tournament.

However, the excitement was dampened when ticket prices for the PSG match were revealed. Members of the club expressed disappointment over the minimal discount offered for this game compared to the previous match against Napoli. The cheapest ticket available for the PSG game is priced at €230, with lower-priced options selling out quickly.

A local supporters club president described the ticket prices as 'exorbitant' and raised concerns about the affordability of attending the match. He criticized the high prices, attributing them to a profit-making strategy by the club and other European teams.

The supporters club emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between local fans and tourists in the stadium to ensure a vibrant and supportive atmosphere for the players. They warned against prioritizing occasional customers over loyal fans, as it could impact the team's performance on the field.

Despite the backlash, FC Barcelona has not yet addressed the concerns raised regarding ticket prices. The situation at Barcelona contrasts with Real Madrid, where ticket prices for a similar Champions League match against Manchester City are reportedly more affordable.
