Fatal Fury: CotW Season 2 to bring Blue Mary, Nightmare Geese, and four more DLC fighters

SNK has announced that Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Season 2 will begin on Jan. 22, 2026. This will mark the beginning of quite an unusual six-month run of monthly DLC characters.

We got immediate confirmation of four fighters: Kim Jae Hoon in January, Nightmare Geese in February, Blue Mary in March, and Wolfgang Krauser in April, while two additional characters will remain a mystery for now.

Along with the character announcement, SNK revealed that the second season will ship with a massive balance patch that will have roster-wide changes and system adjustments that were made based on the community feedback over the game’s first year. Developers have not yet revealed the nature of the changes, but it’s safe to assume that we’ll get the patch notes before the season begins.

Kim Jae Hoon is a Taekwondo fighter introduced in Garou: Mark of the Wolves as one of the newgen Fatal Fury characters. He’s the younger brother of Kim Dong Hwan and is connected to Kim Kaphwan’s lineage.

Nightmare Geese is a powered-up variant of Geese Howard that was already in the game as a boss, so his inclusion is entirely unsurprising. The Nightmare version has been used in SNK titles as a powered-up version of the iconic boss.

Blue Mary is an independent private investigator who debuted in Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory and became a core supporting character in the series. She’s one of SNK’s most consistent characters and has appeared virtually everywhere.

Wolfgang Krauser, who was teased by SNK earlier, is a fighter from Fatal Fury 2, and one of the series’ boss characters. Krauser is one of the best-known early-series bosses alongside Geese, and his return is welcomed by many legacy players.

While the last two fighters remain a mystery for now, it’s heavily implied by SNK itself that one of them will be from the manga and anime series Fist of the North Star. The company published a short teaser earlier this month that unmistakably points to the Hokuto no Ken protagonist, Kenshiro.

Devs also posted vague trailers that could be Robert Garcia and Mr. Karate from Art of Fighting, but there’s only one remaining slot if Kenshiro is indeed the other fighter, so it’s hard to say what’s going on. It could be that SNK has some other surprises in store.
