In a truly bizarre move, fast-fashion giant Shein has been accused of using Luigi Mangione to help sell an item in its men’s spring collection, leaving many folks… confused.
Shoppers were left doing a double-take on the fast-fashion site after an advertisement for a men’s white floral button-up seemingly used a model that looks exactly like accused CEO killer Luigi Mangione.
Take a peep below, because the resemblance is uncanny:

What makes the listing even more bamboozling is the fact that Mangione is currently being held in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre on a federal murder charge for UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
So with that in mind, many folks are speculating that this could be some kind of AI picture or a cursed photoshop job from the fast-fashion label.

Did Luigi Mangione really model for Shein?
At the time of writing, Shein has not made many comments in regards to the viral advertisement. So, it’s currently unclear if this was the result of some kind of AI magic or photoshop mischief.
But, considering that Mangione has been locked up since December for the alleged murder of Thompson, it’s extremely unlikely that he took some time out of the slammer to pose for the fast-fashion giant.

The link for the listing, which was reshared by pop-culture X account, Pop Crave, currently leads to a broken page on Shein. However, according to an archived version of the webpage — saved by the Way Back Machine on September 3— the shirt cost USD$11.69 (AUD$17.88).

The listing also clocked ten five-star reviews before it was seemingly pulled down.

Mangione’s team has yet to comment on the bizarre Shein advertisement.
The 27-year-old has pleaded not guilty to the murder and will remain behind bars until his next court appearance, which is scheduled for December 5. This next appearance will determine whether the death penalty will be considered by the court.
His trial is expected to begin in 2026.
