Fashion, beauty and homeware: it’s the Black Friday luxe list

There’s something about Black Friday — that big, American-imported spend-athon — that gives us all a bit of an ick.

Research by PwC estimates that we’ll be spending £500m more than we did in 2021 — with £8.71 billion total forecasted sales across the Black Friday period.

Of course, the trick is not to buy with impunity but rather to focus on big ticket items where the savings will really make a difference.

BEAUTY & WELLNESS

Charlotte Tilbury

The Cryo-Recovery 3-step Facial Routine kit by Charlotte Tilbury (Charlotte Tilbury / Evening Standard)

Every year, beauty fanatics sear the dates of Charlotte Tilbury’s annual Black Friday into their calendar, and for good reason. For the next two weeks the beauty boss will be flogging her bestselling beauty kits for up to 40% off until November 28, including her cult Magic Cream and Magic Cream light for £120 (despite being worth over £150 combined). What’s more, if you spend over £80 you’ll also receive a free gift.

STAR BUY: Cryo-recovery 3-step facial routine (£94.20, charlottetilbury.com)

Facegym

The “home of facial fitness”, FaceGym prides itself on hi-tech beauty gadgets that train the 40+ muscles in the face. The result? The kind of sculpted, lifted, snatched look that would rival a Hadid. For good reason, their most popular sculpting tools don’t come cheap - making their 20% off everything Black Friday sale a godsend.

STAR BUY: The medi light (£332; facegym.com)

Kiehls

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate (Kiehl’s / Evening Standard)

Kiehl’s is one of the world’s most trusted skincare brands. Fans include the full spectrum of enthusiasts — from dermatologists to influencers — who all praise the brand for its natural ingredients and award-winning formulas. Despite being founded in 1851, holy grail products like the rich body lotion Crème de Corps and the Luxury Anti-Ageing Facial Oil means the brand continues to be a top bestseller 170 years later. See what all the hype is about with 25% across the site this Black Friday — no discount needed. If you buy two items, the discount goes up to 30%, so get browsing.

STAR BUY: Midnight recovery concentrate (£42.75; kiehls.co.uk)

Sephora

Having recently arrived in the UK, Sephora is continuing to make its mark on British soil with a humongous Black Friday sale. So far there’s already 50% off over 250 skincare and makeup classics — from Bobby Brown to ELEMIS — and we have strong suspicions that more is coming.

STAR BUY: Medik8 C-Tetra® 30ml (£29.25; sephora.co.uk)

Lelo

Lelo Soraya Wave (Lelo / Evening Standard)

The sexual wellness brand beloved by Lily Allen has up to 60% off their top rated toys for a limited time only. Founded in Sweden in 2003, the company has been recognised for pioneering creations in the adult industry. From their toe-curling pinpoint vibrator to their orgasmic couple’s remote controlled toys, be sure to treat your mind, body and soul this Black Friday.

STAR BUY: Soraya Wave, aka the world’s most luxurious rabbit sex toy (£172; lelo.com)

Theragun Massage Devices

Earlier this month, reality TV star Kylie revealed she’ll be gifting the massager Therabody Theragun Prime to her family and friends this Christmas. “There’s nothing easier for at-home recovery. It just feels so good; everyone loves it!” She told her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s platform, Poosh. It’s no wonder the wellness tech company is on the billionaire’s radar — Theragun has built a hyped reputation for its unbeatable deep muscle treatment. Try it for yourself up to £100 off selected products for a limited time only.

STAR BUY: Therabody Theragun Prime (£179, therabody.com).

HOME

Liberty

Hay Matin Table Lamp at Liberty (Liberty / Evening Standard)

The iconic London emporium is filled with fashion, homeware, beauty and more wonders, including delightful discounts of up to 30% off this coming weekend. Stock your abode with gorgeous Maison Balzac glassware, Loewe candles and a House of Hackney lamp shade while prices are slashed for a limited time.

STAR BUY: Hay Matin table lamp (£150.50; libertylondon.com)

Le Creuset

Le Creuset is the gold standard for kitchenware among yummy mummies, rich single aunties and, urm, TikTok influencers. Yes that’s right, in 2020 the £345 classic carousel dishes went viral on the app, with creators admiring the French brand’s extremely elegant enamelled casting. If you were one of the 153  million people who watched #LeCreuset TikTok, then you’ll be glad to know there’s up to 40% off on the site until Monday.

STAR BUY: Cast Iron Classic Oval Casserole (£199, lecreuset.co.uk)

Lavazza

The secret to becoming a morning person is having a really good coffee machine — trust us. Jump out of bed this winter to Lavazza’s ultra luxe coffee machines which guarantee authentic, tasty Italian coffee to start your day. For a limited time only, enjoy 50% off their A Modo Mio from French lifestyle emporium La Redoute

STAR BUY: Lavazza A Modo Mio SMEG (£124.50; laredoute.co.uk)

Smeg

(La Redoute / Evening Standard)

Sticking to the Smeg theme, the curvy Italian home appliances are excellent buys at this time of year (honestly, there’s no other type of toaster we’d like to find in our stocking).

STAR BUY: Retro Style 4-Slice Toaster (£190; laredoute.co.uk)

Dyson

If you’re like us, you’ve had a Dyson product on your wish list for years but never bought it. It’s hard to justify the hefty price tag - even if the technology underpinning it warrants it. However, this Black Friday they’re offering up to £100 off their cordless vacuum cleaners for a slightly less guilty splurge.

STAR BUY: Dyson Cyclone V10 absolute (£329; dyson.co.uk)

Neom

(Neom / Evening Standard)

Neom has a fairly unmissable Black Friday sale with a huge 25% off sitewide on their luxury aromatherapy candles, all of which feature the highest quality natural essential oils. You will also receive a free reed diffuser worth £39 if you spend over £40.

STAR BUY: Complete bliss scented candle (£48; neomorganics.com)

FASHION

Peachy Den

Revered by It models like Bella Hadid, Alva Claire and Kaia Gerber, Peachy Den has become a cult label among Gen Z’s fashion set. Founded in 2019, the London brand rose to fame during lockdown thanks to its breakout Kernel jumpsuit. Since then its presence has grown globally with a slew of other viral hits.

From November 21-28 check their website for an archival sale of their beloved Luella top and Cleo trouser.

STAR BUY: The Kernell Jumpsuit (£80; peachyden.co.uk)

La Manso

For the first time ever, the Spanish jewellery brand will be offering 40% off across their site from Thursday onwards. If you’ve been eyeing up one of their plastic creations (loved by Dua Lipa, Self Esteem and Miley Cyrus), now’s your time to finally cop one.

STAR BUY: My ex’s funeral (£62; lamanso.shop)

MATCHES Fashion

Although many designer brands don’t do Black Friday — luckily for us, their retailers do. MATCHES is offering 25% off on a selected crop of products, which includes items from Chopova Lowena, Christopher Kane, Jacquemus and more. Use code 25MF to claim the discount.

STAR BUY: Paco Rabanne 1969 chainmail shoulder bag (£840; matchesfashion.com)

Flannels

Another online retailer offering your favourite designer garms at discounted rates is Flannels, which has a sitewide deal of £100 off when you spend £500. That means notoriously sale-adverse brands like Balenciaga and YSL can be snagged with a rare £100 off, which is pretty much unheard of. Offer ends November 30.

STAR BUY: YSL hobo calfskin bag (£1655; flannels.com)
