Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) Australia has only just kicked off, but unfortunately, one of this year’s country hunks of spunks has seemingly faced two rejections in only two days. Ye-ouch.
This article contains Farmer Wants A Wife Australia spoilers. You’ve been warned.
As an avid watcher of reality TV dating shows, I absolutely admire every single contestant for putting themselves out there — both in the dating world and on television, for our entertainment. However, with that comes a massive opportunity for rejection, which can absolutely sting.
Ahead of picking his final five, Farmer Jason spoke about how it was hard for him to bring someone back to the farm, as many of the women he has dated struggled with the distance and going rural. However, jumping on FWAW, it appears that the network had a bunch of ladies who were ready to make the leap for Jason’s heart.
In episode one, Jason ended up picking Beth, Jessica, Jessie, Logan, and Poppy to take back to his farm.
As a result, Bene and Britt were sent home.
While the first couple of weeks of FWAW are quite toned down when it comes to the drama — and TBH, FWAW is quite chill when it does come to the scandals — Jason’s quest for love has had quite the rocky start.
To kick things off, Jessie ended up ditching the competition, with Jessica telling the farmer that she refused to come back to the farm.
While it was implied that Jessie was firm in her decision, Jason heard she was still in town. So, in a last-ditch effort, the farmer drove in to try to get her side of the story.
Eventually, Jason found her, and Jessie opened up about why she decided to ditch the show for good.
“I feel like under different circumstances, I would have loved to have gotten to know you and stuff, but it’s just not the right environment for me,” she said off camera.
Jason respected Jessie’s decision, but admitted the experience was “dishartening” and “awkward”.
“I’ve always had a fear that women not being able to come to the farm or that farm life is not for them. It was actually living out then and there,” he shared.
With Jessie leaving the farm, Jason was automatically down to four ladies with the first Farm Farewell’s rolling around.
And while he ultimately decided not to eliminate anyone — which I think is a valid choice — the result seemed to piss Jessica off, who ended up storming out of dinner.

“Thank you, Jason. Wow,” Jessica sarcastically spouted before ripping her mic off and stomping to another room.
“I just knew that was going to happen, aye.”
While locked in the room, Jessica told fellow contestant Poppy she was “just gonna go”.
“I can’t,” Jessica added.
Jason attempted to speak to Jessica. However, she refused to speak to him at all, leaving him discouraged and questioning his worth.
“I don’t know how to feel about it all, really,” he said.
“I was so full of hope, and I’m wondering what I’m doing wrong.”
So far, it’s unclear whether or not Jessica has left the farm alongside Jessie.
Regardless, my heart goes out to Jason. I could imagine feeling like complete dogshite if two of the people I picked decided to dip within the first two days. But thankfully, it’s still early into the competition, and FWAW is known for delivering in the match-making department.
Fingers crossed that Farmer Jason finds his love!!! It’s what we’re here for!!
