Farmer Wants A Wife star Claire has spoken out in defence of fellow contestant Clarette after she started copping backlash from viewers of the show on social media.
Some viewers have claimed that Clarette has been a tad too overbearing when it comes to Farmer Thomas. However, when asked if she was really like that behind the scenes, Claire clarified that the reality was not exactly how it seemed on screen.
“She’s getting the villain edit, for sure,” Claire said to Yahoo! Lifestyle.
“I mean, she definitely knew what she wanted and knew what she was doing, but yeah, there’s definitely some mayo on it, for sure, and I feel for her.”

According to Claire, it’s a pretty rough cop for the 35-year-old teacher who is yet to do any media interviews or upload an update on social media.
“I don’t think anyone’s deserving of a villain edit, because if it was me, I’d literally be rocking in a corner,” Claire adds.
While she’s ultimately defensive of Clarette, she does admit that watching the show back has revealed some surprises, especially when Clarette secretly smooched Thomas.
“After what I saw at the farewell dinner, I was like, ‘You sly little fox!’,” she remarks.
“But no one deserves the sort of comments that are coming out. Some things are accurate, some things are not.
“We got along at the end of the day, so yeah, it’s interesting when you’re on the other side and you see what’s been said in voxies and you’re like, ‘Ah okay, no worries!’.
“I should have been more onto it.”

Originally, Claire was the frontrunner for Thomas’ heart. He even admitted that he had put “all his eggs in the basket” when it came to her. Sadly for Tommy boy, she broke those eggs when she made a shock exit on rodeo night.
At the time, she said it was a combo of feeling self-conscious about her appearance and felt a lot of pressure being Thomas’ clear frontrunner.
Now, it seems like Clarette is the front runner for Thomas’ heart.
We’ll have to wait and see, won’t we?
