Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) fans are ripping the 2025 season a new one after it announced it copped a TV Week Logie Awards nomination for this year’s shenanigans.
Earlier this week, TV Week dropped its nomination list for this year’s Logies, which included a bunch of baddies (like MasterChef’s Poh Ling-Yeow) being up for this year’s Golden Logie Award.
However, fans weren’t too pleased when it was revealed that this year’s FWAW was up for Best Structured Reality Program, with one person writing that this has been the “worst season ever”.

Shortly after the official FWAW account shared a social media post, urging viewers to vote for the love rodeo for Best Structured Reality Program, fans went feral in the comments, slamming the 2025 season for its extremely dramatic format.
“Sorry, not this year. Worst season ever,” one punter wrote.
“No. This season is not really enjoyable… I’ve just realised that even though [the] TV is on, I’m not waiting for the ads to leave the room and do jobs, I’m also reading a novel. So no, not this year,” another wrote.
“Worst season ever, way better in the earlier seasons before intended drama and villains had to take over,” penned a third.

Why are fans pissed at Farmer Wants A Wife 2025?
For folks who traverse the extensive universe of reality TV, FWAW is known for its wholesome storylines and golden success rate.
However, this year’s country competition has been rife with off-and-on-screen drama. This included rumours of root rat behaviour that allegedly got two farmers axed from the show, texting scandals, runaway contestants and spoiled storylines.
This year’s season also saw a record amount of farmers leaving the show before the finale! To give you a refresher, Farmer Jarrad, Farmer Tom and Farmer Thomas all left the show early after finding their wives prematurely in the season.

As a result, the FWAW finale only features two farmers: intruder Farmer Jack and Farmer Corey.
While I do froth the wholesomeness FWAW gives — especially after a doozy of a Married At First Sight season — this year’s drama has been quite juicy.
But that’s maybe because I’m a messy gal who loves a little bit of tea every now and then! Woopsies!
Farmer Wants A Wife’s finale kicks off tonight at 7.30pm on Channel Seven and 7plus.
