Farmer Wants A Wife Australia: Who Does Farmer Alex Pick?

We’re nearing the end of this year’s Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) Australia, with Farmer Alex becoming the first country bachy to pick his partner. Here’s what you need to know!

Hold ya horses! This article contains Farmer Wants A Wife spoilers — Mosey on with caution.

ICYMI, Farmer Alex has seemingly speed-run his time in this year’s love rodeo — in the best way possible — after building an extra strong and extra special connection with one of his ladies. However, his journey on this ride hasn’t been quite simple.

While Alex has managed to keep calm on the farm (for the most part), the bloke was rocked by a scandalous love letter penned by Eddy, found by Rachel.

In the love letter, which Rachel found after trying to find paper for a grocery list, Eddy urged Alex to explore his connections with Rachel and Suzannah before he picked her.

The love letter scandal sent the house into a tizzy. However, Alex assured Rachel he was keen on exploring things with her. The next morning, Suzannah and Alex agreed that their time exploring their possibilities was over.

So now, it’s just Rachel and Suzannah… Here’s who won this farmer’s heart.

Who does Farmer Alex pick?

With no surprises, Alex picked… Eddy.

To be completely honest, before he made his official decision, we knew that Alex was gonna pick Eddy.

Not to toot my own horn, but as someone who has been in the dating game, the man was conflicted about going on a solo date with Rachel (which he decided on BTW). So much so, he had consulted his parents on their thoughts regarding Eddy, her spirituality, and all of that.

In my mind, if someone is conflicted about dating somebody else while having a connection with someone and they’re questioning that date… they’re down BAD.

Thankfully, this time around, Alex was more truthful about his feelings and ended up telling Rachel that he wasn’t keen on the date.

While she didn’t get the fairytale ending she was hoping for, Rachel said she was happy for them, called Eddy a “gem” and admitted that the experience has made her more “resilient”.

During their romantic, woodland fantasy meet-up, Alex kicked off by explaining how he knew things were different due to how they felt on their first date.

“On our first date, what took me most was how different it felt around you compared to how first dates usually feel,” he said.

“I was just totally intoxicated by everything about you, but I was just trying my hardest to keep up.”

In the end, Alex admitted he’s fallen in love with her. The moment was briefly marred by Eddy admitting that she’s not exactly at that stage, but is seeing herself falling, which will suffice for the farmer.

The duo then share a snog and GOT OUTTA THERE.

So far, the pair haven’t hard launched each other since this episode. However, punters noted that Alex does follow Eddy’s sibling on IG, hinting that their connection is still going strong.

Godspeed to this duo.
