AMBALA: Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) Shaheed Bhagat Singh (SBS), which supports ideology of Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) has started Kisan Adhikar Yatra (farmer rights march) from Ambala district in Haryana on Tuesday.
This march of BKU SBS started from Panjokhra Sahib village in Ambala and it will reach Gurdwara Nada Sahib in Panchkula in the night on Tuesday.
The farmers gathered at Panjokhra Sahib and started a march on foot while raising slogans against Centre and state governments besides Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
BKU SBS president Amarjit Singh Mohri said after an overnight stay at Panchkula, the farmers’ march will proceed Vidhan Sabha, Haryana in Chandigarh.
Mohri said the march has been started for the rights of farmers including ownership of Jumla, Deh, Shamlat lands, compensation for crop loss due to rain and Fiji disease, against land acquisition on low rates, for increasing State Advised Price (SAP) of sugarcane and clearance of pending payments, and for justice to farmers who died in Lakhimpur Kheri case.
