Fantasy Island Ingoldmells to reopen caravan parks - and when you can visit to check your van

Popular coastal attraction Fantasy Island has revealed when it will be reopening two caravan sites as it revealed new rules that customers will have to follow.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has given a whole host of businesses the green light to open to the public next month as some lockdown restrictions were eased in England.

Blue Anchor Leisure Ltd, which runs 13 caravan sites across the Lincolnshire coast, has already revealed it intends to open its parks by July 4 – provided they can get everything in place to do so.

Now, Fantasy Island in Ingoldmells has announced it will reopening both the Eastgate and Sunnymede caravan sites on Saturday, July 4 once again, Lincolnshire Live reports.

It has also issued new rules customers must abide by.

In a statement, the Ingoldmells attraction said: “The health and safety of our owners, employees and the wider community is our priority and we ask that all owners comply with government social distancing measures and any other relevant legislation and guidance during their stay.

“We know that you are keen to check on your caravans, so as of Friday, June 26, we will allow access onto the site for that purpose.

“If you do so, you must adhere to the following: access will be available between 10am and 5pm only and all owners must maintain a safe distance from anyone outside their household.

“Staying in your caravan is prohibited.

“Fantasy Island’s security will be patrolling all caravans after 5pm to ensure nobody is on the sites.

“Anyone who tries to enter the sites to check on their caravan before Friday will be denied access, so please do not travel here before June 26 for that purpose.”

Bosses went on to say that should these rules be broken, all access will be prohibited again until July 4.

July 4 will also mark the first time rides and attractions will be open to the public at the park since lockdown began.
