This ranking considers quarterbacks that started at least 11 games in 2024. Fantasy points were derived using one point per 20 yards passed and/or 10 yards rushed, six points per touchdowns rushed, and four-point aerial TDs. There are not a lot of surprises since there are only 32 starting quarterbacks, and it is notable even when there isn’t a dramatic difference between quarterbacks.
Consistency is more important in head-to-head fantasy leagues where weekly wins and losses translate into the playoffs.

Quarterback Consistency
There is less variation in consistent quarterbacks than in any other fantasy position. However, we saw several surprises with Baker Mayfield, Brock Purdy, Jayden Daniels, and Sam Darnold exceeded expectations and became worthy fantasy starters. The rookie class was strong with Daniels, Bo Nix, and Caleb Williams all outperforming expectations and more than a few veteran quarterbacks, like Patrick Mahomes and Kyler Murray.
As we’ll see with the wideouts and tight ends, 2024 was a year of transition. The consistency from year to year has dropped.
Lamar Jackson had a career year and Baker Mayfield offered 11 games with 25-plus points despite being on his third NFL team and having new offensive coordinators every year. Jayden Daniels was the most pleasant surprise with an elite nine games with over 25 fantasy points.
The amount of quarterbacks with at least five 300-yard passing performances also dropped from nine in 2023 to only five in 2024. Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson maintained their lofty status as elite quarterbacks, but Patrick Mahomes had a down year that did not improve by the time he reached the Super Bowl. Notable, too, was that Joe Burrow had a career-best season despite not offering much as a rusher. He’s been the best pure passer in the league.
