Here's your 2021 preview of the Arizona Cardinals, the fifth of 32 team profiles leading to draft season:
— 2021 Fantasy MVP: DeAndre Hopkins, WR
You'd be hard-pressed to find a more steady option in fantasy at receiver than Hopkins (ADP: 19). His per 16 game averages since 2014: 1,339 yards on 101 receptions (162 targets) and eight touchdowns.
— 2021 Fantasy Rookie to watch: Rondale Moore, WR
Moore (ADP: 180) is a low-risk, high-reward flyer where he's being drafted. When healthy, he's one of the most dynamic players in the 2021 draft class. I expect the Cardinals to utilize him in every conceivable way on offense.
— 2021 Fantasy Sleeper: Chase Edmonds, RB
The locked in value for Edmonds (ADP: 64) is in PPR formats — he had 53 receptions and four touchdown catches in 2020 — but there's upside in his all-around game that didn't exist before Kenyan Drake left during free agency. A healthy James Conner (ADP: 89) might keep the lid on Edmonds' touchdown potential, but Conner's health is far from guaranteed.
— 2021 Fantasy Bust: Kyler Murray, QB
If this season resembles the second half of last season, Murray (ADP: 37) will have trouble living up to his draft position. He is currently being selected as the QB3 in most leagues. The former Heisman winner had 604 rushing yards on 87 attempts and 10 rushing touchdowns (!) in the first nine games of 2020. He had 215 rushing yards on 46 attempts and a single rushing touchdown the final seven games. Obviously, the scoring was bound to regress some, but the attempts are what concern me.
