Fans want Wednesday's Love Island postponed for England v Denmark semi final

Fans torn between Euro 2020 and what's going on in a certain Majorcan villa have called for ITV to delay Wednesday's Love Island until after England v Denmark has finished.

After their emphatic 4-0 victory over Ukraine on Saturday night, the Three Lions take on the Danes at Wembley in two days time as they bid to reach the final of a major tournament for the first time since their historic World Cup win in 1966.

ITV have already confirmed that it will be then, rather than the BBC, who will air the crunch game and, with that in mind, viewers keen to watch England and hit ITV2 show Love Island, are urging bosses to delay the start of the latter.

Love Island broadcasts every night at 9pm on ITV2 and, if that happens on Wednesday, it will clash with the second match of the Euro 2020.

When the same thing happened last week, as England beat Germany in their final 16 clash, some fans 'double screened', watching the match on their TVs and Love Island on their laptops via ITV Hub, while others relied on the record button or ITV2+1 to catch up.

But, given that the streaming service has had a few glitches of late, they don't want to have to rely on it on Wednesday and are imploring ITV to push back Love Island.

Speculating that ITV will be forced into the scheduling change, one fan tweeted: "Thinking about how they gonna have love island on at 10 on Wednesday because of the football" and a second posted: "Best to just postpone Love Island because we’re all busy on Wednesday"

Swiftly taking to Twitter to comment after England's quarter final win against Ukraine at the weekend, a third wrote: "Does this mean Love Island will be cancelled on Wednesday."

At the time of writing, online TV guides still had Wednesday's Love Island starting at 9pm so make your choice now!
