Fans spot Harry Kane's X-rated reaction - and it sums up his Tottenham frustrations

Harry Kane may have played his final game in front of his beloved Tottenham Hotspur supporters.

In front of Spurs’ biggest crowd in 15 months, almost 10,000 fans were left disappointed as Aston Villa ran out 2-1 winners.

It marks a new low in what is becoming an increasingly concerning week for the club after Kane reportedly told officials he was ready to leave.

According to reports, Kane has become disillusioned in north London and is ready to force a move at the end of the season.

Sky Sports have claimed that Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all made contact with the striker’s representatives.

But if the 27-year-old was after a fairytale ending at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, that wish came up well short.

Despite taking an early lead through Steven Bergwijn, a comical own goal from Sergio Reguillon and an Ollie Watkins strike ensured they ended their home season with defeat.

Kane cut a frustrated figure as his side struggled to get themselves back into the game.

And that frustration came to the surface when eagle-eyed supporters noticed Kane muttering: “What’s the f****** point man?”

Following the game, Kane took a lap of honour around the pitch, obviously leading to suggestions that it was a final farewell.

Interim boss Ryan Mason quickly dismissed that, saying: It's normal. “If anyone has been at the last home game of the season while Harry Kane has played at this football club, he has been pretty consistent in going around the pitch, clapping the fans and getting a good reaction.

“Nothing has changed this season to home games in previous seasons, it's normal.”

Asked if the speculation had impacted his side’s performance, he continued: No I don't think so. If we started the game terribly and were 2-0 down after 10 minutes maybe you could say that, but we didn't.

“We were 1-0 up in 10 minutes and in control. So no, I don't believe that.

“We are professionals, we are paid to do a job. The players were fully focused on the match. It is really disappointing we have lost the game tonight.”

Mason can claim it didn’t affect his team, but there were clear frustration from a player that is desperate to be part of a team challenging at the top of European football.
