Fans destroyed the officiating during Game 3 of the NBA Finals

It’s never a good thing when officiating dominates the conversation of an NBA Finals game, but that’s exactly what happened through the first half of Wednesday’s Game 3.

The NBA’s crew of Marc Davis, David Guthrie and Kane Fitzgerald got the assignment for the Warriors-Raptors game in Oakland, and through the first 24 minutes, they managed to be much worse than a crew that included Scott Foster and Tony Brothers.

Shocking, I know.

Throughout the first half, missed calls were going both ways. There was a missed (blatant) goaltending non-call that robbed DeMarcus Cousins of a basket. There was also a missed non-called carry on Steph Curry that allowed him to step into a deep 3.

The officiating was all over the place, and NBA fans ripped the refs. Fans of both teams didn’t hold back.

And just think — these refs still have 24 minutes left to mess the game up worse. That’s not good news for anyone involved.
