Unlike other Bollywood releases, 'Pathaan' got a head-start at the box office, opening to early morning shows. Fans were seen flocking to the theatres in large numbers to watch the first-day-first-show.

In other parts of the country, fans were seen celebrating outside the cinema halls while waiting to head inside to catch the next show. While some were seen bursting firecrackers, colourful smoke bombs and cutting cake, others were even seen pouring milk on SRK's posters.

'Pathaan' is Shah Rukh Khan's first release in over 4 years. The film is a part of Aditya Chopra's ambitious spy universe and also sees Salman Khan as Tiger crossing over in an epic cameo.

The movie also stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles.

Despite appealing to fans not to spoil the films for other fans by leaking parts of the film on social media, Salman's highly anticipated cameo was leaked online. That's not all, Salman's 'Kissi Ka Bhai Kissi Ki Jaan' teaser trailer was also posted online on various fanclub handles. However, only a few clips were later taken down from social media sites.
