Fan casually walks on the field to try to shake Phillies player’s hand, gets arrested

Typically, when a fan goes on the field during an MLB game, it involves someone running around aimlessly until a police officer or security guard ultimately brings an end to the interruption.

It’s never a good idea to run on the field during a sporting event — it’ll end in an arrest and possibly a painful tackle.

But I must say that I have never seen a more chill fan on the field than this dude from Sunday’s Phillies-Pirates game in Pittsburgh.

At some point in the sixth inning, a guy in a floral shirt casually walked onto the field (and nobody stopped him), and he went over to Phillies infielder Brad Miller in hopes of shaking his hand.

Miller wasn’t exactly having any of it, and avoided the fan until police officers at PNC Park took notice and cuffed the guy.

How did this guy get that far unnoticed, though?

I guess the secret must be acting like you belong. It’s all about confidence. Unfortunately for him, it ended just about the only way it could have … with handcuffs.
