We have news of another Leeds city centre shop closure to bring you.
The Thorntons store, based in Commercial Street, has shut with the premises already stripped of its fixtures and fittings.
We all know the chain is famous for its choccies as well as popular for its ice creams in the summer too.
We’ve been in touch with Thorntons to confirm the news and the shop is no longer listed on their website.
This leaves the only Leeds Thorntons store as the one in the White Rose Shopping Centre.
A spokesperson said: "Like any retailer, we are continuously reviewing our store estate to ensure we are in the locations that meet our customer needs.
"As a result of such a review, the decision was taken to close our store in Leeds Commercial Street on January 4. Thorntons has been delighted to serve our many local customers over the years and we would encourage them to shop for their favourite Thorntons products at our Leeds White Rose store, or online at www.thorntons.co.uk in the future."
