Family's heartbreaking tribute to footballer, 11, killed at level crossing in south London

The family of an 11-year-old boy who was killed on a level crossing have spoken of their heartbreak.

Jaiden Shehata was hit and killed by a train while using a level crossing in Kenley, south London on January 23.

An investigation by the Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB) identified that Jaiden was likely distracted by his phone when he was hit by the train.

Six other near misses were identified at the crossing, which has no active warning systems and has been labelled one of the most dangerous in the region.
