A devastated couple have revealed their seven-year-old girl has been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of terminal cancer.
Laia Jenkin's loved ones are trying to make her final weeks memorable after being told she has just three to six months to live.
Her parents, Lorna and Lee Jenkins, received the devastating news earlier this month that their daughter has a rare brain tumour called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).
The couple from Wishaw, Scotland, were heartbroken to discover that the condition has a zero survival rate and are now trying to help little Laia complete her bucket list in the time she has left.
Family friend Sian Thomson told the Daily Record : "What's happening is awful. We're all heartbroken.
"There is no cure and treatments are heartbreakingly scarce.

"We've spent days looking at options for treatment abroad but unfortunately there is nothing available.
"All the research shows that there is nothing there for doctors to at least try. It's horriffic."
DIPG is type of brain tumour that occurs mostly in children. It is the second most common type of primary, high grade brain tumour in kids.
Newmains Primary School pupil Laia is about to start her first course of radiotherapy and is due home from hospital any day now.
Doctors hope this will allow her to live a relatively normal life for the next three to six months.
Her condition is then expected to deteriorate rapidly.
"Laia's smile lights up a room. She's so loving, funny and such a caring little girl," said Sian.
The little girl has a bucket list she is hoping to fulfil in the time she has left.
Her parents Lorna and Lee asked their daughter: 'If you could go anywhere or do anything what would it be?
Laia said she'd like to visit America and ride a pony in Lanark.
Sian added: "So that's what we would like to achieve for her.
"She deserves to be able to do what she wants.
Sian and and the family's friends set up a JustGiving page for the youngster in hopes of raising £8,000 to help Laia to complete her bucket list.
So far the page has raised nearly £3,000 from generous donors.
Mum-of-one Sian said: "We want to make her time with her mum and dad and her sisters as memorable and happy as they possibly can be.
"We want to ensure that Laia has the most amazing few months while she can still be the happy, loving, amazing little girl that she is."
