Falcons rookie RT Kaleb McGary back at practice Thursday

The Falcons’ offensive line finally got some good news when right tackle Kaleb McGary returned to practice on Thursday.

After reports that there was no structural damage to the knee he injured during the team’s Week 2 win over the Eagles, the rookie missed practice on Wednesday.

Perhaps even better news for Atlanta is that McGary’s conditioning level is finally considered back to normal after his cardiac ablation procedure in the preseason.

That means going forward the rookie can finally play a full game and should be the unquestioned starter at right tackle going forward.

Right guard Chris Lindstrom, the team’s other first-round pick, is still out with a broken foot. Lindstrom is eyeing a return in the second half of the season.

The Falcons have a tough road matchup with the Colts this Sunday as they attempt to win their second straight game and take control of the NFC South.
