Facebook and Instagram DOWN as social media channels face outage problems

Facebook and Instagram are both facing major issues on Thursday morning, with millions being unable to access either app.

Reports of problems first started appearing on Wednesday night, with the Messenger app also being affected.

Users in Germany and other parts of Europe had struggles getting onto certain META products.

On Thursday morning, the problem spread to Ireland.

Tracker downdetector.ie noted almost 2,000 complaints by 10am this morning for Facebook, with over 2,000 for Instagram.

It is unclear if WhatsApp has been affected as of yet.
