Fabrizio Romano says that Jeremie Frimpong is on Liverpool's list of targets to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold this summer.
The right-back currently plies his trade for Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
Frimpong joined the club from Celtic in 2021, and he has since gone on to be a roaring success, winning both the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal titles last season.

The Dutch international could be on his way out of Leverkusen this summer, though. Indeed, he has a '€35/40m release clause', claims Romano, and is one of the 'main names' on Liverpool's list to replace Real Madrid-bound Alexander-Arnold with.
Frimpong himself is said to be keen on a move to Anfield, too, with Arne Slot, his fellow countryman, having just guided Liverpool to Premier League glory.

The transfer is significant for Celtic because, when they sold Frimpong to Leverkusen back in 2021, they inserted a considerable release clause in the deal.
It was believed at the time that the Parkhead club would be owed 30 per cent of any future profit made on Frimpong by the German outfit.
Therefore, in theory, if Frimpong was sold for £34m, then that would mean Leverkusen profited £22.5m.
Therefore, Celtic would be entitled to a windfall in the region of £6.75m
The news comes after it was confirmed that Danny Ings will be a free agent this summer.
The striker was linked with a move to Celtic late in the January transfer window. The Scottish Premiership champions were reportedly in the 'race' to sign Ings, along with Everton, Southampton and Leeds United.
The 32-year-old eventually stayed put at West Ham United for the remainder of the current campaign, although they won't be renewing his contract going into the 2025/26 season.
