Fabinho returns as Liverpool make four changes to team for Leicester City

Fabinho returns to Liverpool’s defence as they host Leicester in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp makes four changes in total from the side that drew 1-1 with Manchester City at the Etihad two weeks ago.

Brazil midfielder Fabinho has spent much of the campaign as a makeshift centre-back due to the chronic shortage at Anfield.

But he hasn’t played since October 27 when he suffered a hamstring injury against Midtjylland in the Champions League.

However, after resuming full training this week, Fabinho lines up alongside Joel Matip as James Milner fills in for the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back.

Alexander-Arnold is expected to miss another two weeks at least after a calf injury in the game against City before the international break.

Andy Robertson completes the Reds’ back four as Klopp names an adventurous midfield three of Gini Wijnaldum, Curtis Jones and Naby Keita.

Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are the champions’ front three as they aim to go level on points at the top of the table.

LIVERPOOL: Alisson; Milner, Fabinho, Matip, Robertson; Wijnaldum, Jones, Keita; Jota, Firmino, Mane.

SUBS: Adrian, Minamino, Tsimikas, Origi, Phillips, Clarkson, N Williams.

LEICESTER: Schmeichel, Justin, Fofana, Evans, Fuchs, Mendy, Tielemans, Barnes, Albrighton, Maddison, Vardy.
