F2Tekkz gives Liverpool ePremier League title with victory over Man Utd in final

Liverpool have won the inaugural ePremier League title after gamer F2Tekkz defeated Manchester United's KyleLeese_ in the final of the ESports tournament.

The prestigious event saw the best gamers in the world battle on FIFA 19 across both PlayStation4 and Xbox One consoles to determine the ePremier League champions.

And it was Liverpool fan F2Tekkz who came up trumps for his boyhood club, defeating their arch rivals 6-2 in the two-legged final.

The England international gamer, real name Donovan Hunt, won the first leg 4-1 on the PlayStation before a 2-1 win on Xbox One to lift the top prize.

He saw off Southampton in the last-16, winning 6-3, before defeating Manchester United's other player, Jonesy 17FIFA by a 5-1 scoreline in the quarter-finals.

A 4-3 win in a tense semi-final against Fulham's SCP Diogo sent him into the Grand Final where he cruised to a well-deserved win.

He came from behind against Fulham in what served as the Xbox Console Final, eventually snatching a dramatic 123rd minute winner in extra-time.

The tournament featured 40 players on Day One to establish the knockout stages for Day Two which culminated in Hunt's win.

The 17-year-old celebrated by kissing the Liverpool badge and showing his delight after a huge title win which Reds fans will be hoping their real-life team replicates in the Premier League title race.

Before his semi-final clash, F2Tekkz declared "I hate United", and his two wins over the arch rivals en route to lifting the crown will no doubt make his win even sweeter.
