F1 Academy driver shares injury update as season final replacement confirmed

F1 Academy driver Aiva Anagnostiadis has shared an injury update after it was confirmed that she will miss the season finale of the all-female racing series in Las Vegas.

The TAG Heuer driver will be replaced by Rachel Robertson for the season finale after sustaining an injury to her left foot.

F1 Academy confirmed in a statement: "Following surgery on her left foot, TAG Heuer driver Aiva Anagnostiadis will not participate in the final round of F1 ACADEMY season on 20-22 November.

"Rachel Robertson will step into the TAG Heuer operated by Hitech TGR car for Round 7 at the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX. Everyone at F1 ACADEMY, TAG Heuer and Hitech TGR continues to wish Aiva a full and speedy recovery."

Anagnostiadis shared details of her injury ahead of the Singapore round.

"Tough news to share… during training, I picked up a fracture in my left foot which means I won’t be racing at the Singapore Grand Prix next week," she explained. "While I’m gutted to miss such an iconic event, my focus now is on rehab and recovery so I can come back even stronger and be ready for testing in Bahrain."

The Australian driver missed testing in Bahrain and will now not finish her debut season in F1 Academy. "Slowly getting there," she posted alongside a video of her in the gym. "Recovery is going well, taking the time to make sure we are 100% recovered! Can't wait to get back behind a wheel."

Having joined F1 Academy in 2025, Anagnostiadis has also raced in the Eurocup-4 Spanish Winter series, the Formula Winter series and the Indian Formula 4 Championship.

Robertson, who will stand in for Anagnostiadis in Las Vegas, started her racing career in 2022. After rising through the ranks in karting, she stepped into single-seaters in 2025 in Formula 4 and also took part in the inaugural F1 Academy Rookie Test.
