Eye-watering amount Love Island's Molly-Mae Hague made from one Instagram post

Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has made a staggering amount from just one Instagram post, where she offered her followers the chance to win £8,000 worth of prizes.

Molly-Mae, 21, decided to launch the giveaway on her Instagram to celebrate hitting one million subscribers on Instagram.

Prizes included Louis Vuitton luggage, lots of Apple goodies, a years supply of Molly-Mae's fake tan and a full BeautyWorks hair transformation.

The entrants needed to like the post of Molly-Mae posing with the goods, tag a friend and share to be in with the chance to win.

It’s said around two million people entered the competition which was then narrowed down to 25 people before the winner was announced on Monday.

Molly-Mae paid for the prizes herself, but she hasn't been left out of pocket.

Affiliate marketing agency Silverbean has revealed how much Molly-Mae has made over the course of the competition – and what she stands to make in the future.

Assuming a Cost Per Mille (the amount YouTuber’s make per 1,000 views) of £3.12, the influencer has potentially made an average of £317.16 per day on YouTube since she launched the giveaway, up from £112 on the 8th September.

This means that through the duration of the competition, Molly-Mae has made a huge £3,805.97 from YouTube alone - almost half the cost of the prizes.

Since the giveaway launched, Molly-Mae has gained an extra 267,783 Instagram followers, taking her count to 4,824,081.

According to the agency’s calculations, this has pushed the price of her sponsored post up by £1,338.91, taking her average price per post based on her following to £24,120.40, up from £22,781.49.

Meaning with her additional followers, she should in theory be able to make back the cost of the prizes with just six posts.

Or taking into account her YouTube earnings and around three sponsored posts would see her break even with the amount she spent on the giveaway.
