A house was left with extensive damage after an arson 'attack' in a Knowsley street.
Emergency services were called just after 10pm to reports of a home on fire in Kenneth Close, Prescot.
Nobody was injured in the blaze, which caused extensive damage to the house, and police say enquiries are ongiong as to the reason for the attack.

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "Detectives are appealing for information following a suspected arson in Prescot last night, Saturday 30 October.
"At around 10.05pm, a report was received of an unoccupied home alight on Kenneth Close.
"There was extensive damage found, although nobody was injured and the reason for the incident is unknown at present.
"A joint investigation is now underway with Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) and enquiries are ongoing, including CCTV and house-to-house.
