For the second straight week, the Falcons aren’t getting much love from NFL writers around the internet for their home opener against the Eagles. Philadelphia is now a 2.5-point favorite over Atlanta in this weekend’s prime-time battle on NBC’s Sunday Night Football and most experts expect them to win.
Let’s take a look around the predictions and see who still has faith in the Falcons.

ESPN: Eagles
Seven out of eleven ESPN analysts picked the Eagles to defeat the Falcons.
USA Today: Eagles
Four of seven USA Today writers chose Philly in Week 2.
CBS Sports: Falcons
The CBS panel of eight went 5-3 in favor of Atlanta (against the +2.5-point spread),
SB Nation: Split
It’s a 50-50 split from SB Nation’s panel of ten writers.
The Falcons have not played well against the Eagles in recent history, losing three straight games coming into their Week 2 matchup.
While we certainly expect them to be better, it’s understandable that a talented Eagles team would be favored after Week 1.
