Exeter Chiefs v Bristol Bears kick-off change

The top of the table clash between Bristol Bears and Exeter Chiefs has been promoted to the 4.30pm slot on Saturday afternoon following the cancellation of the East Midlands derby.

The game was due to get underway at 2pm, but has now been bumped to the tea time slot on BT Sport after positive Covid-19 cases at Northampton Saints means their game with Leicester Tigers has become the fifth Gallagher Premiership game out of 36 to be cancelled this season.

Tigers are expected to get four points from the tie and Saints two.

The games between Exeter and Bristol is a fascinating one with both sides on 20 points having won four out of five league games with bonus points, with Chiefs top courtesy of a superior points difference.

Exeter have been defeated only once by Bristol in all tournaments since 2009, but that was 17-20 the last time the two clubs met at Sandy Park in November 2019.

In turn Chiefs sent a 'second string' side to Ashton Gate in August and returned with a stunning 25-22 victory.

Kick off of Newcastle Falcons v Gloucester has also been moved earlier to 2pm with both matches shown live on BT Sport 2.
