And it seems their hard work has paid off, with not only Glasgow's foodies loving their offering, but the Michelin Inspectors too, after they were named one of 15 new entries to the influential guide.

Speaking about Shucks, the Michelin team said: "This smart, contemporary, nautrically themed restaurant champions the best of Scottish seafood.

"Start with some snacks and a glass of Champagne from the trolley before tucking in to neatly presented dishes with completementary flavour combinations and the occasional Asian touch. Specials might include Scottish lobster or dish cooked on the bone."

The delighted Shucks team posted about the news on Facebook, writing: "We are delighted to announce that we have been added to this year's Michelin Guide! Less than 8 months after opening this is a really great achievement for the team and we are proud as punch!"
