Ex-Celtic Wag Helen Flanagan has revealed she stuffs cabbage leaves in her bra to relieve the pain of breastfeeding.

The mum-of-three welcomed son Charlie last Thursday with husband, former Hoops star Scott Sinclair.

The Coronation Street star has shared her pregnancy journey with fans on her Instagram page after after giving birth on March 25.

Yesterday, the new mum shared a video of her multi-tasking as she breastfed Charlie in a baby sling.

Helen also told fans she has been putting cabbage leaves inside her bra to relieve the pain of breastfeeding.

She said: '"So, I’ve got tea on. Charlie is in the baby carrier. He’s had a feed," before showing the cabbage leaf on camera as she said: "I’ve had to put a cabbage leaf in my bra."

Cabbage leaves are an unusual but well known remedy to relieve the pain of sore breasts in new mothers. The leaves are believed to absorb some fluid from the glands and reduce fullness and pain.

The couple, who are already parents to daughter's Matilda and Delilah, welcomed Charlie on dad Scott's birthday.

Announcing the news on his own Instagram account the winger said: "I couldn't ask for a better gift on my Birthday, what a blessing!!! welcome to the world son."

Helen said youngest daughter Delilah, two, is particularly taken with her baby brother and has been enjoying holding, kissing and bathing him.

Helen said: "Delilah loves him!" before asking the tot: "Darling, are you going to give Charlie a bath?" which saw Delilah screaming with excitement.
