Ex-Celtic boss Postecoglou in Spurs future declaration after Europa League triumph

Ange Postecoglou has issued a bold Tottenham Hotspur declaration after lifting the Europa League trophy.

The former Celtic manager guided Spurs to the European triumph with a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the final on Wednesday.

In doing so, Postecoglou fulfilled his promise to win a trophy in his second season after he previously stated, "I always win things in my second season".

Postecoglou led Spurs to a first trophy in 17 years, and first European cup since 1984.

However, there has still been speculation over whether Postecoglou will remain in charge of the Premier League club despite the Europa League success.

Spurs sit 17th in the league table with 21 losses in the division so far ahead of their final match this weekend.

Now, though, Postecoglou appears to have declared he will remain at the London club during a speech at the trophy parade on Friday.

He said: "I told them and they laughed. I told them and they didn't believe.

"But here we are. We are here because this unbelievable group of people, players, staff, absolute heroes.

"They did it all for you because you deserve it, this club deserves it.

"And I'll tell you something, I'll leave you with this...all the best television series, season three is better than season two."
