Ange Postecoglou has no regrets in saying that he always wins things in his second season at clubs.
The former Celtic manager is just one game away from staying true to his word at Tottenham Hotspur as they prepare to face Manchester United in the Europa League final on Wednesday evening.
Postecoglou was recently asked in an Optus Sport interview if his prior comment that he 'always' wins things in his second year speaks to his confidence in his Spurs team: "No, it just speaks to the facts," he emphatically replied.

"I guess my mistake was answering a question accurately. I'll learn in the future to just lie, and people will be much more comfortable with that, or it will paint a different picture.
"But the fact is, wherever I've been, I've won things in my second year. I've got the possibility to do that here. I'm certainly not going to let that slip because some people are a little bit afraid of me actually telling them what my record is like.
"Why would I regret something that I'm proud of?"
As Spurs travel to Bilbao for Wednesday's showpiece final, Postecoglou may take confidence from his cup final record. Indeed, the Aussie went three for three in finals at Celtic and has an 88 per cent win ratio in them throughout his career.
In typical Ange fashion, however, that doesn't bother him: "I never worry about that stuff," he said.
"In many respects, it helps me that people will dismiss the achievements I've had. Now I've got here, it probably works in my favour."
