Former Cardiff City player Greg Halford believes the club should go all out to make Nathan Jones their next manager.
The Bluebirds made the controversial decision to sack Steve Morison on Sunday, following a run of three wins in their opening 10 games.
Morison was shown the door despite being given the opportunity to reshape the squad in recent months, with 17 players arriving under his stewardship over the summer.

A healthy section of Cardiff fans believe Morison should have been given more time to get things right, but Vincent Tan was understood to have grown concerned about the prospect of Cardiff getting sucked into a relegation battle.
Attention now turns to the search for Morison's successor, with several names already seemingly the mix.
Reports on Tuesday morning have suggested that Jody Morris, a previous candidate shortly after Mick McCarthy was dismissed has expressed an interest in the job, while Sol Bamba has also been mentioned. You can follow the latest live news on the Cardiff City manager search here.
However, Halford believes Jones, a Cardiff City fan, would be the ideal choice, having worked briefly under the current Luton boss at Brighton and Hove Albion.
Taking to Twitter on Monday evening, he said: “I said this last time but Cardiff City need to go and get Nathan Jones.
“He’s a Cardiff man, loves the club but most of all he’s one of the best I’ve ever worked with.”
