Ex-Boston Celtics guard Jordan Crawford to sign with Bahrain’s Manama Club

Another alumnus of the Boston Celtics has found themselves a new home, with HoopsHype’s Alberto De Roa reporting that former Celtics guard Jordan Crawford will be playing for the Bahraini Basketball Association’s Manama Club for the coming 2022-23 season.

Crawford, a Detroit native who played his college ball with both Indiana and Xavier University, was picked up with the 27th overall pick of the 2010 NBA draft by the (then) New Jersey (now, Brooklyn) Nets, but would be dealt to the Atlanta Hawks, where he would play the first 16 games of his career. Crawford would be dealt again, this time to the Washington Wizards.

The Xavier product would spend parts of 3 seasons with the Wizards before he was dealt yet again to the Celtics in 2013 for Leandro Barbosa and Jason Collins.

The Michigan native played 39 games for the Celtics, starting 35 of them, and averaged 13.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and just under a steal per game with the team before he would be traded again, this time with MarShon Brooks to the Golden State Warriors for Joel Anthony and draft assets.
