We’re at the pointy end of The Block 2025 and the long-awaited auction day is finally here. So, to see how the houses sell, here’s everything you need to know about The Block‘s finale.
While we’ve had so much fun watching all the arguments, silly challenges, and room reveals, it’s unfortunately that time of the year when we kiss The Block goodbye.
But before we can officially say au revoir to the Blockheads of this season, we, of course, get to witness one of the most stressful reality TV finals ever: The Block‘s Auction Day.
Last year, Maddy and Charlotte won the whole home-renos show after billionaire bidder Adrian Portelli dropped $3,500,000 on their vacay house.

So, to watch a bunch of folks fight over the homes our Blockheads have worked on, here’s everything you need to know about The Block 2025’s Auction Day.

When is The Block Auction Day 2025?
For those who’ve just caught onto The Block hype, Auction Day also marks the season’s finale. It’s also one of the more exciting episodes — even though this year has been jam-packed with drama, including friendship breakdowns and cheating allegations.
So, to catch a bunch of numbers flying and the winner of The Block 2025, this year’s Auction Day is slated for Sunday, October 26, 2025, with the real auction day taking place on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
However, it was reported that The Block‘s Auction Day was leaked back in September.
Per Chattr, Robby and Mat‘s auctioneer, Tom Panos, accidentally announced that he would be selling their house on October 25.
“The 25th of October, all eyes are on house number five, the one with the pickleball court,” he said in a video, before Realestate.com.au confirmed the auction date.

What is the auction order on The Block 2025?
The auction order is the most contentious part of the finale. This year, after some tense conversation, the gang agreed on an order.
Britt and Taz from House Three will be kicking off the festivities, followed by Robby and Matt in House Five, Emma and Ben in House One, Sonny and Alicia in House Four and finally Han and Can in House Two.
While Han and Can were upset, and Britt and Taz felt nervous about going first, ultimately it was quite a civilised discussion.
What are the reserves on The Block 2025?
This year all the teams have the same reserve — a whopping $2.99 million. However, Sonny and Alicia won on Front Yard Week which meant they copped a nifty $50,000 off their reserve.
Who won The Block 2025?
Britt and Taz from House Three are the winners of The Block 2025.
The country coppers presented their “wellness house” at auction, complete with a Pilates studio, a $175,000 kitchen and a backyard that looks so beautiful it could double as a wedding venue.

Their home was purchased by legendary Block buyer Danny Wallis whose final bid was $3,410,000. That means they walked away with a cheeky $420,000 profit AND the $100,000 prize money.
Not too shabby, hey?
Who bought a house on The Block 2025?
This year, it was Danny Wallis who walked away with both Robby and Mat and Britt and Taz’s home, while buyers agent Frank Valentic nabbed Sonny and Alicia’s home.
While I really wanted iconic Block buyer Adrian Portelli to pop up and surprise everyone at the auction, he followed his word and did not show up.
You see, after buying all the houses last year, Portelli sent shockwaves across the fanbase after revealing that he will not be returning to the show in the future.

That became more apparent when rumours began to surface that he’d been banned from the auction altogether. However, both Portelli and The Block host, Scott Cam, denied the rumour, with both confirming he was asked not to show up.
But hey, if you miss Lambo Guy, Portelli is currently working on a rival home renovation show, My Reno Rules, with Dr Chris Brown, which is set to air on Channel Seven in 2026.
