Well, folks, it’s the time of year when Channel 9 assembles a bunch of chaotic yet infinitely watchable singles for Married At First Sight Australia (MAFS), with the 2026 season of the gloriously unhinged show officially on the horizon.
That’s right, it’s almost time for us to tune in as commitment ceremonies go rogue and dinner parties put everyone at risk of an airborne wine glass, because MAFS’ 13th instalment has been given a flurry of updates ahead of its premiere.
We’ve already gotten wind of a few juicy morsels about the upcoming instalment — mostly in the form of the cast’s rumoured antics — but here’s all the official deets we know ahead of MAFS’ undoubtedly splashy return to screens.

Is there a trailer for MAFS 2026?
After months of being drip-fed intel from insiders, we finally got an official look at MAFS’ 2026 season in mid-October, when Channel 9 debuted the teaser at its annual Upfronts.
If the clip is anything to go by, then season 13 will be the show’s horniest yet. One snippet shows a groom removing a bride’s lingerie with his mouth (!), while another sees a contestant sporting a bunny lingerie number that’s giving Elle Woods’ Halloween costume.
Elsewhere, we see a teary-eyed bride dramatically reject a groom on the altar, while a voiceover teases that contestants will be venturing “outside your comfort zone”.
In a snippet that’s instantly meme-worthy, one bride is seen blindfolded while holding a sign that reads “Kiss me please” (which is giving me at the club), while others promise an array of fiery dinner party confrontations complete with finger-pointing and raised voices.
We’ve also been gifted another promo, which came just in time for Christmas on 24 December, featuring a LOT of close-up shots of brides and grooms, a yelling moment and a single tear rolling down a potential groom from next season. What more could you want?!
The show has since been dropping teaser trailers on TikTok in the lead-up to the premiere, and I could not be more excited.
Who is in the cast for MAFS 2026?
Before we get into the soon-to-be newlyweds, it’s been confirmed that our trio of relationship experts — namely John Aiken, Alessandra Rampolla and Mel Schilling — will all be returning for MAFS 2026, proving they have an impressive tolerance for chaos.
Aside from those names, the official cast list was released earlier this month — including a socialite, an ex-rapper, and a former reality star. These 18 singles are set to be joined by a handful of intruder couples later in the season — including a same-sex pairing.
John told PEDESTRIAN.TV ahead of the launch that this season features four major elements, including the arrival of a new group who refer to themselves as “The Boss Babes”. He revealed that while previous seasons have featured men behaving badly, this year will showcase a group of strong-willed women who “lack self-awareness”, “like to be in control”, and are “very blunt with their language”.
“There are about five of them. They band together, and they essentially try to dominate the entire experiment,” he told P.TV. “They go at men, women, anyone who stands up to them. They come at the experts, and they see themselves as being very empowered.”
He continued: “The language they use at times is really, really hurtful, and some of them just simply walk out. They don’t have any time for the experts whatsoever, and that is a dynamic we haven’t seen before. We’ve had individual rivalries, but nothing en masse like this, and it has a very high school element to it.”
We love a strong, powerful woman on MAFS, but this season might take things too far.
Other major elements this season that are set to shake up the experiment include the show’s first bisexual bride, the introduction of Revelations Week, and TikTok trends.
“It’s one hell of a season. It’s gonna take your breath away,” John told P.TV.
