ICYMI, the world of Australian Survivor has had quite the shake-up following its two explosive 2025 seasons. For the first time in Aussie Survivor history, Jonathan LaPaglia will NOT be hosting.
Instead, recurring Survivor contestant and winner of Deal or No Deal Island David ‘Golden God’ Genat has been handed the snuffer in 2026’s season of the survival shebang.

“Getting to come back as host after playing three times is such an honour,” Genat said of his brand-spanking new gig.
“But Survivor is not about me; it’s about the incredible players who put everything on the line to outwit, outplay, and outlast.
“I am pumped for the fans to meet the new crop of Survivors next season.”

In the first trailer, Survivor enthusiasts get a taste of the “new crop” of castaways, challenges and Genat as host.
In another teaser — which goes for 30 seconds — Australian Survivor: Redemption has revealed that someone named “Dirty Harry” is about to pull “the dirtiest move” in the game.

Who is in the cast of Australian Survivor: Redemption?
As predicted by reality TV gossip account, @realitytv_fan, returning Survivors Harry Hills, Simon Mee, Brooke Jowett and Mark Warnock will be battling out for a shot at redemption.
Alongside these returning castaways, Big Brother Australia‘s Johnson Ashak and The Traitors New Zealand‘s Cat Hooker will also be wielding a torch for a touch of Survivor glory.

Ahead of Network 10’s Australian Survivor: Redemption reveal, Genat said: “Next year, a new era begins for Australian Survivor. I cannot wait for the challenge and am so honoured to be part of this brilliant new season.”
