'Everything is going to be OK' - Currie kids' heartwarming message amid coronavirus chaos

Children from Currie have shared a heartwarming video collage reminding anyone struggling with the coronavirus news that it "might not tomorrow" but everything will be OK.

The kids, aged four to six, all attend Currie nursery or primary and like kids across Scotland are currently at home on lockdown.

The 16 children put together a poster message which said: "Might not be tonight, tomorrow or the next day but everything is going to be OK."

Sarah Watt, whose children Jacob and Cerys took part, said it had been "humbling" to see the local community come together to support each other.

Sarah's husband is a police officer, and their daughter Cerys, aged 5, is at high risk due to health problems meaning her husband is self isolating separately from the family.

Speaking about how the children are coping, Sarah said: "I think they are doing amazingly considering how difficult things are.

"I would say they are struggling education wise, and home schooling hasn't really worked out great for us.

"The school has been amazing though, and my son Jacob, six, has received letters from his teacher.

"The school was quite open with explaining things to the kids and I think that helped a lot."

Sarah said the community group had been a great support: "It has been so humbling to see the support the whole community is giving to each other.
