Every word Unai Emery just said on the red card against Leicester and Arsenal's top four chances

Arsenal's hopes of finishing in the top four in the Premier League were dented this afternoon (Sunday) as they lost out 3-0 against Leicester City.

The Gunners lost for a third game in a row as they were beaten at the King Power Stadium, leaving them four points behind north London rivals Tottenham with two games to play.

Here's what Arsenal boss Unai Emery had to say after the defeat against Leicester.

On a costly defeat...

Good afternoon. Our gameplan was to be strong today in our defensive moments and in our attacking moments To take our chances. Attacking their back four. We started very welll.

We started controlling the match. There were not a lot of problems defensively. The idea above all at home is to control the possession but we were good on the pitch and we wanted to grow up in 90 minutes and to take our possibility to win today. Being competitive in 90 minutes and also being strong in our mentality.

But the second yellow card gave us a lot of problems to continue with our gameplan. Continuing with one player less was going to be difficult.

Arsenal player ratings: Ainsley Maitland-Niles lets Unai Emery down as Gunners flop at Leicester

What did you say to Ainsley Maitland-Niles after the match about his red card...

I don't agree with the first yellow card.

Do you think Maitland-Niles was rash in terms of his challenge for the second yellow card?

I think also maybe the first yellow card is not his fault. There were seven minutes in the game I don't agree. But I respect the referee.

What did you think of your players performance today? It wasn't good enough was it?

The players worked very well. I am proud of them. With one player less  we continued our gameplan. They were more defensively strong. And in attacking moments to take our moments.

The first goal conditioned the result. We worked better on the pitch with one player less but they scored the second goal.

What Freddie Ljungberg has said about Bukayo Saka and Arsenal's clash with Leicester City

Where does that leave your Champions League hopes?

We are going to think about Valencia in the Europa League. We have a big ambition and motivation in this competition. It's going to be difficult. Then we are going to think about Sunday and Brighton.

Do you still have a chance to finish in the top four?

We knew in the beginning of the season it was going to be difficult.

How Arsenal's defeat at Leicester impacts the top four battle with Spurs, Chelsea and Man United

Three defeats in a week?

Today is about the red card. The first yelllow is not a yellow for me. I don't agree with the decision for the first yellow card.

Sky Sports pundits deliver verdict on Ainsley Maitland Niles' red card in defeat at Leicester

First time since 1967 Arsenal have conceded three goals in three consecutive league games...

Today was conditioned about having one less player. We were good on the pitch with 11 vs 11. I think before the second yellow card we were in the best moment. I think the players were taking confidence and recovering confidence. We needed to be strong defensively. We needed to improve to win here but the red card conditioned our defeat here. It was difficult [to qualify for the Champions League] at the start of the season and it is difficult now.

We are going to think about the next match against Valencia and then the next match against Brighton. I am not thinking about the Champions League only we are speaking about preparing for the next match.

Our confidence can stand up and stand down but the most important is to be clear in our mind and prepare in the best way possible for the semi-final. Playing with one player less the players worked and tried to be every moment with being positive and continuing our way.
