As we bring in another year and wave goodbye to the festive season, many people will be looking forward to the next bank holiday.
Whether it be for Easter or spring, there are some important dates to note down in your diary, including a new bank holiday for the King's coronation. And we have rounded up just what dates to look out for and what they mean for you.
The next bank holiday will fall on January 2 for the New Year's Day substitute, this is because New Year's Day falls on a weekend. But it will then be a slight wait until Easter, which once again falls in April.

The ECHO previously reported on a clever hack that allows you to use the King's coronation to more than double your annual leave. If you work a normal shift pattern with weekends and bank holidays off, there's a sneaky way to get extra days - 10 for the price of four - without sacrificing any more than you need to.
And the same idea works for other bank holiday weekends, using your holidays smartly could mean you get more time off. Here's every single bank holiday in 2023 in England and Wales:
New Year's Day (substitute) on Monday, January 2
Good Friday on Friday, April 7
Easter Monday on Monday, April 10
Early May Bank Holiday on Monday May 1
Coronation of King Charles III on Monday, May 8
Spring Bank Holiday on Monday, May 29
Summer Bank Holiday on Monday, August 28
Christmas Day on Monday, December 25
Boxing Day on Tuesday, December 26
