- Arsenal will play Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League last 16, and will then face Sporting CP or Bodo/Glimt in the quarter-finals if they progress. Should they make the semi-finals, they will face either Newcastle, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid or Tottenham.
- Chelsea have been handed a last-16 tie with PSG, and could potentially play Liverpool or Galatasaray in the last eight. The Blues’ possible semi-final opponents are Real Madrid, Manchester City, Atalanta and Bayern Munich.
- For Liverpool to reach the final they must get past Galatasaray in the last 16, PSG or Chelsea in the quarter-finals, and then one of Real Madrid, Manchester City, Atalanta or Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.
- Man City must get past Real Madrid in the last 16, either Atalanta or Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals, and then PSG, Chelsea, Liverpool or Galatasaray in the semi-finals.
- Tottenham face Atletico Madrid in the last-16, then either Barcelona or Newcastle in the quarter-finals, followed by one of Bodo/Glimt, Sporting CP, Bayer Leverkusen or Arsenal in the semi-finals. Newcastle must get past Barcelona in the last 16, Tottenham or Atletico Madrid in the last eight and then one of Bodo/Glimt, Sporting CP, Bayer Leverkusen or Arsenal in the semi-finals to reach the final.
