Pots

Which pots will each team be in?
Qualification is yet to wrap up for the 2026/27 Champions League, but we do know the pots for a lot of the teams who have already made it into next season's competition.
Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Inter Milan have won their respective leagues and will go into Pot 1 among the strongest teams in the competition, along with Paris Saint-Geramin, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester City… and the eventual winner of the Europa League, so that's either Aston Villa or Freiburg.

Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are still waiting to find out whether the'll be in Pot 1 or Pot 2: the latter pot, however, will contain each of Porto, Real Betis – who are in a higher pot after good runs in the Europa League and Conference League in the last few years – and Manchester United, with the Red Devils back in the competition for the first time since 2023.
PSV, Feyenoord and RB Leipzig return to the Champions League in either Pot 2 or 3; Villarreal, meanwhile, are set for Pot 3 regardless of whoever else qualifies.
Shakhtar Donetsk and Galatasaray are both waiting to be placed into either Pot 3 or Pot 3, with Lens back in the big time and set for Pot 4.
Teams left to qualify

Which other teams can yet qualify?
In addition to Arsenal, Man City and Man United, England have two more spots for teams who can directly qualify for the League Phase, not including a potential Europa League winner in Villa.
Italy have three more spots in the League Phase to confirm, Germany and France have one, Belgium have one, Czechia have one.
The play-off round will feature Norway's Viking and Greece's AEK Athens, along with the champions of Austria and Scotland.
