Everton vs Manchester United preview ahead of crunch Premier League clash

After Tuesday night’s discouraging performance against Barcelona, which saw Manchester United knocked out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage, United will need to change their approach for Sunday’s encounter with Everton as they chase a top four spot.

Many of the United players were below average and they will need to up their game if they want to win away at Everton, a ground which has proven to be a tough place for opposition this season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United have lost five of their last seven games and desperately need a win to get their momentum bacl up and running.

Many fans have called for certain players to be dropped for the away trip to Everton, Ashley Young being the pick of the bunch after his blunder was the cause for Barcelona’s opener in the second leg.

Mason Greenwood stood out midweek in the U23 game against Newcastle. He scored the pick of the bunch in a 5-0 away win, finding the back of the net with a scorching free kick which sent United fans on social media into meltdown.

The 17-year-old made his debut in the famous win against PSG in Paris and he made the bench for United’s win against West Ham.

Manchester United won at Goodison Park last season with two wonderful goals from Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard and newly appointed manager Solskjaer will be hoping for more of the same on Sunday.
