Everton vs Crystal Palace

16:14

QUITE INCREDIBLE! Everton come from behind to stun Crystal Palace and end their 19-game unbeaten run in all competitions. After an underwhelming first half, the Toffees returned from the break with renewed purpose and intensity. Palace had multiple chances to double their lead, most notably through Mateta, who squandered a golden opportunity with the goal at his mercy. It proved to be a turning point. Substitute Alcaraz made an immediate impact, testing Henderson with a fierce effort, before another substitute, Iroegbunam, got the better of Lacroix and won a penalty for the hosts. Ndiaye stepped up and coolly converted to level the score. Despite Oliver Glasner making defensive changes to preserve the point, Everton weren’t done. In the 93rd minute, Beto’s header was brilliantly saved by Henderson, but Grealish reacted fastest to slam home the rebound and send the Hill Dickinson Stadium into raptures. Palace pushed for an equaliser deep into stoppage time, but Everton held firm. The hosts created 2.03 expected goals, with nearly 2.00 coming in the second half alone. Palace, who had plenty of their own chances, registered 1.65 xG - but lacked the killer touch in the end. After the international break, Everton face a huge test as they travel to Manchester City. Palace, meanwhile, will look to bounce back at home to Bournemouth. That’s all from us this afternoon - thanks for joining us, and goodbye!

15:55

Ndiaye is booked amid the chaos as the final seconds tick down...

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:54

GOOOOOAAAAAL!!! 2-1 EVERTON!!! GREALISH!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! Alcaraz and Ndiaye combine brilliantly down the right, with Ndiaye delivering a delightful ball to Beto. His low header is excellently saved by Henderson, but the rebound falls perfectly to Grealish, who thunders it home - possibly the winner! The stadium erupts as Everton fight back. Can they halt Palace’s incredible run after coming from behind?

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:51

Eight minutes of added time have been awarded as Beto lays the ball off to Alcaraz, who smashes a first-time shot from outside the area - but it rockets over the bar. That would have sent the roof off this place had it found the net.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

Sarr also goes off after recently receiving treatment, with Uche coming on as his replacement.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:48

Devenny comes on for Pino as Palace feel the pressure and make changes accordingly.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:42

Wharton receives his first yellow card of the season following what looked like a solid tackle. The England international slid in on Gueye and is booked for the challenge as Everton get on with it.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:40

Lerma comes on for Kamada in Crystal Palace’s midfield - possibly a tactical switch by the Palace boss to shore up the defence as they look to see this one out.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:38

PENALTY TO EVERTON! How huge could this moment be? Substitute Iroegbunam sneaks in behind Lacroix and earns a penalty after a clear foul inside the box. It looks like Ndiaye will step up to take it...

Everton vs Crystal Palace

Everton vs Crystal Palace

GOOOOOAAAAAALL!!! 1-1!!! NDIAYE MAKES NO MISTAKE! The number 10 steps up with composure, rolling the ball to his left and sending Henderson the wrong way. Game on - the Toffees are right back in this!

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:33

Iroegbunam and Ndiaye double up on Pino in midfield and feel they win the ball cleanly, but the referee awards a free-kick - much to the dismay of an increasingly frustrated home crowd.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:30

Nketiah makes an appearance from the bench. The striker netted the winner against Liverpool last weekend and replaces Mateta this afternoon.

15:29

Garner is also booked for the incident, drawing boos from the home fans. David Moyes reacts with visible frustration on the touchline and is shown a yellow card, which only fuels the crowd’s noise even more...

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:28

Pino is booked for Palace following a confrontation with Garner in midfield - the first yellow card of the afternoon.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:28

Alcaraz comes close! Everton surge forward through their substitute, whose left-footed effort is brilliantly tipped away by Henderson’s huge left hand. The Palace keeper, alert despite limited action so far, makes a big save as Everton search for an equaliser.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:25

Keane struggled to continue after his earlier injury and has been replaced by Iroegbunam. This substitution could signal a shift in positions within the starting XI.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:25

HOW HAVE PALACE NOT SCORED? Sarr cuts inside on the left, rounds Pickford, and lines up his shot - but it’s blocked and falls to Mateta with an open goal at his mercy. Under pressure, the striker scuffs his effort wide of the post. What a huge missed opportunity - this could prove a crucial moment in the game.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:24

O’Brien looks to whip in a cross from the right, but Mateta, who had dropped deep to defend, slices his clearance attempt. Keane, no stranger to scoring, tries his luck but his shot is blocked. He gets another chance shortly after but misses again. Everton need to try and test Henderson in the Palace goal...

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:21

PALACE SHOULD DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! Mateta races through on goal with acres of space - it's remarkable how much room he's given. Pickford rushes out, but the Frenchman lifts a clever chip over him. As the ball heads towards goal, O'Brien gets back brilliantly to nod it clear just before it crosses the line. Everton are causing themselves problems, but that was a vital piece of defending to keep them in it.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:19

Wharton loses the ball this time, giving Everton a three-on-three opportunity - but they fail to pick the right pass and squander a promising chance.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:17

Half a chance for Palace as they win the ball high up the pitch through Kamada. The midfielder gets it back and unleashes a strike from just outside the area, but it’s dragged wide and doesn’t trouble Pickford in the Everton goal. A potential let-off for the hosts.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:15

Keane is back on the pitch and play has resumed. That stoppage may have favoured Palace more than the Toffees, as it disrupted the momentum Everton were starting to build.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:13

Keane has gone down and appears to be struggling with a back issue. He’s currently receiving treatment. The centre-back has made a real impact this season and has performed well again this afternoon - his departure would be a significant blow for Moyes.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:11

Garner picks up the ball once again and clips a superb cross to the back post, where O'Brien rises to meet it - but his header is straight at Henderson. The Palace keeper makes the save but can’t hold onto it. It’s a promising move from the home side, one that’s lifted the crowd. Palace won’t have it all their own way this half.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:10

Munoz gets tight on Grealish and concedes a foul on the halfway line. If the Toffees are to build anything positive, finding their summer signing regularly will be key.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:07

Alcaraz makes an immediate impact, driving forward and finding Ndiaye, who looks to square the ball back across the box - but it’s eventually cleared. A brighter start to the half from the home side.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:05

We're off in the second half...

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:05

Barry is also replaced at the break, with Beto coming on to lead the line. The Frenchman had a chance to score but struggled to make his presence felt at the top of the pitch.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:03

A double change at the break for the home side, as Alcaraz replaces Dibling, who struggled to make an impact on his first Premier League start for the club.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

15:01

The Toffees have generated just 0.04 expected goals compared to the visitors’ 0.64. The home side have struggled to involve their attackers and will need to do so if they’re to have any real chance in the second half. The Eagles have lost just once under Oliver Glasner in the Premier League when leading at half-time - and that defeat happened to come away at Everton last season. According to Opta’s Live Win Probability model, Glasner’s side are backed to win nearly 70% of the time, while Everton have less than a 10% chance.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:57

It’s 1-0 to Palace at the Hill Dickinson Stadium at half-time. The Eagles have dominated large parts of the game and put Everton under pressure within the first couple of minutes, forcing Pickford into a couple of important saves. Palace created a barrage of chances, with Mitchell hitting the post and Mateta being denied one-on-one by Pickford. The breakthrough came moments after Barry nearly gave Everton the lead - Garner’s exquisite cross was just a toenail away from being converted by the French striker. Palace made Everton pay on the counter as Munoz scored the opener. David Moyes is winless in his last six home Premier League matches against the Eagles, and that could well continue if things fail to change after the break...

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:48

HALF-TIME: EVERTON 0-1 CRYSTAL PALACE

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:48

One minute of added time to come. Everton will be glad to head into the break trailing just 1-0 and may look to adjust their approach in the second half.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:47

Ndiaye receives the ball in a dangerous area on the edge of the box, but Mitchell defends brilliantly, guiding him toward the byline before nicking the ball away from the forward. Palace look extremely strong all over the pitch, and Everton just don’t have the answers right now.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:44

Ndiaye and Barry break forward after another clever Palace move breaks down. Ndiaye plays in the striker, but Barry lacks the pace to latch onto the ball. A collective groan of frustration from the fans sums up Everton’s first half.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:42

Sarr did exactly what was needed - he picked the perfect pass! His perfectly weighted lay-off allowed Munoz to keep his stride and calmly put his side 1-0 up!

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:41

GOOOOOAAAAALLLL!!!! 1-0 PALACE!!! MUNOZ! Pino does excellently well to hold off Tarkowski and plays in Sarr, who gallops into acres of space. The winger then finds the overlapping Munoz, who is left unmarked and brilliantly slots the ball into the near post, past a desperate Pickford. A brilliant Palace goal that moves them up to second place in the Premier League!

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:39

EVERTON SHOULD SCORE! The Toffees surge forward as Garner takes control and whips in a brilliant ball aimed at Barry, who comes within millimetres of connecting and putting his side ahead. He just can’t find that decisive touch, but Everton are making it clear to Palace that they’re very much a threat.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:37

Richards' long throw once again causes bedlam in the Everton box, with the ball ricocheting around before it’s finally cleared. The Everton defence must assert themselves and win that crucial first ball.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:35

Palace earn another corner, this time from the left side. Kamada whips it in, but it’s headed clear and out for a throw-in on the opposite flank - which could lead to an even greater threat.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:32

Pino tries to slide in Mateta, but Keane intercepts and quickly launches Everton forward. The Everton fans respond with renewed energy, rising to urge their team on.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:30

Pickford denies Mateta! Palace could have taken the lead as Sarr and Mateta combine brilliantly to create a chance for the Eagles. As Sarr slips in Mateta, the Frenchman fires straight into Pickford’s path - but the Everton keeper, making his 300th Premier League appearance today, makes a crucial save.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:28

Mitchell hits the post! The left wing-back bursts forward and squares up O’Brien one-on-one. He shifts the ball onto his preferred left foot and fires a high shot that rattles the outside of the near post. Palace are really knocking on the door.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:26

The visitors aren’t trying to force anything yet and are showing patience in their build-up play. A number of fouls have disrupted the rhythm, as the game remains goalless a quarter of the way through.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:25

Palace are enjoying the majority of the ball and seem rather comfortable in possession. They're playing like a side who could move to second with a win here this afternoon.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:21

Yet another long throw from Palace causes chaos in the penalty area. Lacroix wins the flick-on, and the ball falls to Guehi, who takes a shot that’s well saved by the England number one. Palace are consistently winning the first ball, and sooner or later, it looks like it's going to pay off.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:20

Crystal Palace are the only side yet to concede a first-half goal so far this season. Everton will need to be sharp and inventive if they’re to break that streak before the interval.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:17

Mykolenko shields the ball well and wins a free-kick inside the area following the Palace corner. A brief moment of respite for the Toffees as they look to push up the pitch.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:16

Palace have a free-kick on the left-hand side, which Kamada delivers at head height. Everton can only clear it behind for another Palace corner. The hosts are yet to concede from a set piece this season - but the Eagles will be looking to change that here.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:13

Grealish comes close! He picks up the ball on the left, drives into the box, and tries to drill a low shot toward the near post - but it lacks pace as it rolls across the turf, making for a simple save for Henderson. Palace can’t afford to give a player of his quality that much space.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:10

Palace spot an opportunity to break forward, but as Kamada looks up, his outside-of-the-boot pass is easily intercepted. It’s been an exciting start, with both sides pushing for the opener.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:08

Keane holds off Mateta inside the area before turning the Frenchman and clipping a ball over toward Dibling, who is fouled by Guehi as he steps out to try and win it.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:07

Wharton is seeing plenty of the ball early on and picks out Sarr between the lines, who goes down under a challenge just outside the penalty area - but the referee waves play on. The hosts will need to do more to limit Wharton’s influence if they’re to gain control of this game.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:04

The visitors are setting the early tone. Wharton’s corner comes back to him, and the loose ball falls to Pino, who lines one up - but Pickford is equal to it. A positive start from the in-form side.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:02

Palace attempt an early long throw – a tactic well and truly back in fashion – and Everton can only clear it behind for the first corner of the game.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:01

The visitors get us under way!

Everton vs Crystal Palace

14:01

As the teams emerge from the tunnel for the last time before the international break, let’s take a quick look at Opta’s Live Win Probability model. Crystal Palace are the favourites with a 42.7% chance of victory, as they look to become the first team this season to win at the Hill Dickinson. Everton aren't far behind, though, with a 32% chance - setting the stage for what promises to be a closely contested encounter.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

13:30

Palace are unchanged from their impressive win over Liverpool last time out. Eddie Nketiah, who scored the winner in that game, has been in fine form - netting three goals in his last four Premier League appearances despite playing just 139 minutes. Glasner will no doubt be looking to bring him on late, hoping he can make another decisive impact.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

13:30

Tyler Dibling is handed his full Premier League debut for the Toffees, coming in to replace the suspended Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Up front, Beto drops to the bench as Barry leads the line for Moyes’ side. Meanwhile, Jordan Pickford marks a major milestone this afternoon - making his 300th Premier League appearance for Everton.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

13:30

Crystal Palace are quite possibly enjoying the finest period in the club’s 164-year history. After lifting the FA Cup and securing European football for the first time in their history last season, Palace have continued their remarkable rise with an unbeaten start to the new Premier League campaign. A dramatic last-minute win over champions Liverpool last week sent a clear message: the Eagles are not here to simply make up the numbers. Avoiding defeat this afternoon would see Oliver Glasner’s side set a new club record of 13 consecutive league games unbeaten - yet another milestone in what’s quickly becoming a golden era for Palace.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

13:30

Everton come into this one winless in their last three Premier League outings, after a promising start that saw them win two of their opening three. Draws against Aston Villa and West Ham, either side of a Merseyside derby defeat, leave the Toffees sitting in a respectable 10th place. This fixture has favoured Everton in recent times - having lost just one of their last 21 league meetings with the Eagles. They'll be eager to extend that impressive run this afternoon.
